A Stunning Lodge by the Gold River

Another masterpiece of a home from Pioneer Log Homes of British Columbia, The Lodge at Gold River is a luxury lodge set in the remote area of Vancouver Island's Gold River. This log home is also close to log Strathcona Provincial Park and can be accessed by flying into Campbell River Airport, or by taking a ferry from Vancouver. Also, the area is famous for fly fishing thanks to expert Roderick Haig-Brown who brought attention to the area for its great salmon fishing. The Lodge also offers heli-fly fishing packages that will take you to remote inlets Even if you're not into fishing; this is an incredible place to stay for a few nights or even longer if your schedule will allow for that. The Lodge can host up to 18 guests at a time, and each room has its own fireplace and an outdoor patio with access to the river. The placement of this log home is perfect, nestled right in the trees with lush greenery surrounding it and the river close by. Just the land alone is a beautiful place to enjoy some rest and relaxation, but with the log home, you'll have everything you need and more to make memories that last a lifetime.

The main entrance is grand with a huge awning and a beautiful large wooden door welcoming you into the home. There is also a front patio that extends the length of the front of the house which offers another covered space to sit outside and relax. You can also admire the full round logs at the front of the building as well which make this log cabin very impressive. The great room is stunning, with high cathedral ceilings and a stone fireplace that acts as a gathering place for guests. There's also a library, a bar and the dining room close by so everyone can enjoy spending time together. You'll also notice the amazing collection of carvings and Indigenous west coast masks. The kitchen would be the perfect place to cook some delicious meals with other guests; maybe even a fresh caught salmon. Each of the bedrooms has either one or two beds and a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet so guests can also enjoy their privacy during their stay. Pioneer Log Homes handcrafts some of the most incredible log homes in Canada, if not the entire world, so to stay in one of their buildings would be amazing.

At the end of the day, guests can enjoy some relaxing time on the riverside patio with an outdoor fireplace, perfect for marshmallow roasts or even some outdoor cooking.
