This sweet little log cabin is right in the middle of Bean Blossom village which gives it its name and makes it a very cozy and welcoming place. The Bean Blossom log cabin is a rustic style log cabin with tons of charm and character. You'll notice that the cabin is built using the traditional log cabin building methods with square logs that interlock with each other. Using this method makes it very simple and efficient to build log homes without having to use too many resources, plus it builds a very airtight and sturdy log cabin too. So on the outside of the log cabin, there is some noticeable wear and discoloration from the sun and other elements which is what gives the cabin so much character and beauty. It's so incredible to see log cabins that have been standing for this long and how they just seem to get more charming with age. The Bean Blossom log cabin also features the perfect front porch to sit out on and watch the world go by. There are actually log chairs placed out on the patio too that look very comfortable. Then, in through the door from the porch is the main living area of the cabin which is surprisingly open and spacious thanks to the vaulted ceilings that include gorgeous woodwork and beams. On the far wall is the fireplace which is the perfect place to make a wood fire and enjoy the toasty warmth it gives off. The comfortable sofa and love seat provide the perfect seating in the living room as well. Plus there's also a TV so guests can watch movies or satellite TV if they want.
In the next room is the kitchen where there are full sized appliances and a pub style table to enjoy meals at. There's a fridge, stove and a microwave as well as lots of countertop space to prep meals, plus all of the kitchen and dining ware needed to make and enjoy meals. The high ceilings are also continued in the kitchen making the small log cabin feel much larger than it is. Leading out of the door in the kitchen is the yard where guests can relax or maybe even play some lawn games. For sleeping, there is a beautiful bedroom with carpeted floors for a cozier and warmer space. There are also high ceilings in there as well as a ceiling fan to circulate air in the warmer months. The queen bed can sleep two people comfortably so this cabin is best suited for just two people but can fit two more on the pull out sofa in the main living area as well. In the cabin, there is also a small bathroom which has a shower, vanity and a flush toilet so no need to rough it in this log cabin. The log cabin is also close to the Bill Monroe Memorial Bluegrass Park as well which has been home to bluegrass festivals for over fifty years. So if bluegrass is a style of music you'll love staying at this log cabin even more.
Everything in the cabin is all on one level which makes it great for those with mobility issues, and all linens are provided to guests, so there is no worry of bringing your own. Also, if you love to look at or collect antiques, there is a great antique shop called Plum Creek Antiques, which is just a short walk away from the log cabin. There's also The Farmhouse Café & Tea Room, which is only 3 miles east and has an awesome menu. There's also a plant nursery full of shrubs, perennials, and annuals. Nashville, Indiana is also just five miles south, and there is some great shopping and dining there as well. Wouldn't this be the perfect place to stay on vacation?
