The Vardenhaugen Cabin is an 828 square foot tiny house located in Fosen, Norway. This tiny home was designed by Vardenhaugen Architects and uses inspiration from nature to make it a good example of simplicity and clean lines. On the exterior of this tiny house, design are very clean lines created by metal siding in black and white which makes it look very modern and almost artistic. The design of this tiny house design also allows it to sit perfectly on its rocky, grassy location. While it's surrounded by nature, there are still houses in the distance which help to make it feel not so isolated. One part of the home is the living quarters, and the other part is what seems to be a garage or a storage area. There is also a small patio outside the home as well to enjoy the scenery and take in some fresh air.
Once inside the tiny house, there is lots of white used throughout the home, with light wood floors and countertops, so the colours don't compete with the natural views all around. With lots of windows, natural light pours in, along with blue ocean views that look picturesque no matter where you go in the tiny home design. The window seat with wood storage underneath is the perfect spot to sit and take in the views or to read a book and sip some tea.

This tiny house design feels modern and fresh, with no clutter at all which also helps to make the small home feel spacious and full of light. The furniture chosen for this home really goes with the minimal modern design of the home which is very complementary to the small space. All of the furniture is also very unique too and also look like pieces of art themselves.
In the living room, there is a wood burning fireplace as well, and there's even storage for the wood to fuel the wood burning fireplace that heats the home on colder nights. It would also create a beautiful ambiance in the home as well. The great thing about this small space is that it wouldn't take much to heat the space, and once it's heated, it should stay warm for a while. Building a smaller home or cabin like this one would be the perfect way to enjoy time together as a family. Many people build these smaller cabins to use as recreational properties, but there are also those who would live in something like the Vardenhaugen cabin full time.
A smaller design costs less to build overall, and it will also cost less to heat and maintain throughout the years as well If there is ever a need to make the space larger, the cabin can be built onto easily, or a separate unit could be added onto the property for different purposes. If you've been dreaming of a modern style tiny house or cabin, this could be the one that inspires you to create yours.
